Shifting, Territory Expansion and Family Purpose

Now we are moving into a corporate season of shifting and moving into new things, increase, upgrades and open doors. For many God is changing what our ministries look like.  What we had in the past was great for that season, but it’s time for an upgrade so we can be more effective going forward and in the future. God’s plan is bigger and more far reaching than many of us would have thought.

To accomplish this, God is shifting some people around, like pieces on a chess table, to different ministries or different teams and in different cities. For many this is an expansion… our current territory is enlarging.. we might be holding onto our current ministry and expanding to multiple cities, states or countries where in the past we might have been more localized or operated on a smaller scale. Some will be serving with expanded teams or newly formed teams that include spiritual brothers and sisters they have been closer to in past seasons or who now live in different cities creating a larger territory for us to influence.

For some that God is calling to lead in a greater way in this next season, they are about to lead a much larger ministry or be put into new areas of leadership.

For some Husband & Wives who have served on different teams in the past, God may call you to serve together in this next season and couples already serving together may expand into larger ministries reaching outside the geographic region you are currently ministering in.

For some there has been a sense of “purpose” that is not directly related to your home church or ministry and in this next season we will see that shift to walking out our divine purpose more closely with our spiritual family and/or spiritual family currently located in different geographic locations.

Below is a vision I had on 9/6/26 during worship at my local church regarding shifting, expansion and family purpose: 

I saw a husband & wife in an old, fashioned two seater airplane.  The husband was in front and wife immediately behind. Then I saw that couple with hundreds of other people on an airport tarmac where many different planes were on the ground waiting for passengers to load. The couple’s new plane was a commercial airliner, they were both in the cockpit to pilot the plane together.  The wife went out to the airplane stairs where she was waving to people that she had been close to in a previous season.  She was getting their attention and calling them over to the new commercial airliner that she and her husband were piloting as these former friends were exiting their current airplanes and coming her way as she waved them over.

On this airport tarmac hundreds of people were changing planes. There were many different types and sizes of airplanes.  I saw a wife deboarding a plane and she literally ran across the airport tarmac so excited to be reunited with her husband who had been on a different plane. It appeared they would be together in this next season.

Then I saw a sign post, the kind that normally has several little horizontal signs all pointing in different directions.  It had two small horizontal signs.. one said “Purpose” and pointed to the right and one said “Family” and pointed more backward and to the right.  Then I saw the “Family” sign swing forward and connect with the “Purpose” sign so that it read “Family Purpose”. My sense was that what had previously been in slightly different directions, “family” and “purpose”, was now coming into alignment together “family purpose”.

Then I saw a space rocket taking off and felt that as we move into these new airplanes (ministries) with our reshuffled teams God is going to take us higher, farther and faster than we ever thought possible.
